The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) has issued
regulations allowing the use of electronic records,
electronic signatures, and handwritten
signatures executed to electronic
records in place of paper records
and handwritten signatures.
These regulations apply
to all FDA program areas, and will allow wide use of
electronic technology, compatible with
FDA’s responsibility to promote and
protect public health.
